First, we define the framework of our cooperation, which can be either a one-off project, or an on-going part-time involvement, depending on the task. Examples:

ONBOARDING, AUDIT, FEASIBILITY
In order to help, I need to learn the specifics of your company; its purpose, value proposition, the marketing assets and resources, and the marketing environment you operate in. A kind of marketing audit is required, with particular focus on the organizational frames (capabilities, processes) as well as the supporting marketing systems (CRM, marketing automation). If all these are properly documented at your company, it is a relatively quick process. However, if not, compiling and structuring the materials necessary for the audit can be of value for your business.
STRATEGY, PLANNING
In light of the current situation and the objectives set, the areas to be improved are outlined. With these in mind, the Marketing Architect can make strategic recommendations on how to fill gaps in missing competencies and gather, categorize, prioritize tasks in an agreed format, with resource requirements aligned.
IMPLEMENTATION, DOCUMENTATION, KPIs
You can’t improve what you cannot measure. Depending on the task, it may be necessary to define what we want to measure and how, along with the KPIs related. If needed, I help preparing the briefings for external collaborators, or supervise partner selection. Before concluding the cooperation, it is worth taking into account the possible risks, developing alternative scenarios, and determining the control points.

If you are happy with the performance of your current marketing, you do not need my help. (Although, if you’ve got this far in reading…) Still, it may be worth talking, if you see more opportunities in marketing than what can be exploited with the experience of your current team.
Why shouldn’t I contact an agency right away?
Does Marketing Architect also implement specific ideas and campaigns?
Typically, not. Just like an architect does not build a house either. Marketing Architect focuses on developing the strategy, the solution architecture and the framework that is required for the implementation. If needed, I help to find “contractors”, such as freelancers, professionals, agencies, and/or to supervise their work.
We only have online sales. What is the benefit of Marketing Architect have in such case?
If you have a well-established brand and your “customers’ journey” takes place entirely online, it may be wiser to commission a full service online marketing agency. A Marketing Architect can add greater value when the path to purchase is somewhat more complex, i.e., there are off-line events and touchpoints involved.
Do you just lay the groundwork and then disappear?
If we both have had a mutually positive experience during our cooperation, I will also take part in the supervision and monitoring of the implementation, if needed. Of course, only to the extent that can be justified on both ends.
